Health Scheme The smart card-based health system manages and stores identification information for members and their dependants regarding access to health services at all polyclinics. The health card stores basic health-related information and keeps track of the amount spent using the health service by the card holder. Once a cardholder becomes ineligible for benefits, his or her membership is automatically withdrawn. It also allows linkage with the Pension Disbursement System.
The system is designed for comprehensive health scheme management, covering 2 million members and 227 polyclinics all across the country. The use of the smart card system provides the highest quality of healthcare at the lowest cost.
